Here’s a little sample from Volume 1:

Day 5
Jesus Healed Them All

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.                      (Matthew 4:23-24)

Notice how often the word “all” appears in the Gospels to describe those whom Jesus healed.  This tiny, easily overlooked word reinforces the limitless power of God.  In this passage in Matthew we find Jesus going throughout all Galilee.  And what was He doing?  Two things.  First, He was telling people His message by teaching and preaching, and second, He was healing the sick.

What kinds of sicknesses did the people have who came to Him?  “All manner of sickness.”  “All manner of disease.”  Those with “divers [various] diseases and torments.”  “Those which were possessed with devils and those which were lunatic.”  “Those that had the palsy.”  The list does not leave out any kind of illness or disease whatsoever.  ALL manner of disease, birth defects, and mental illness.

Is there any health problem at the physical or mental level that would not be covered by this Scripture?  If you had been in Galilee, would your illness have “qualified” you to be in the crowd of the sick as described by Matthew?  The answer has to be yes.  No illness was beyond the healing power of Jesus.

Oh goodness! Volume 1, Day 11 — an EXCELLENT reminder to be cautious of the thoughts we have and the words we speak, on this occasion, after starting with “I am”!

Thanks, Anne, for this tremendous reminder of the power of our thoughts and words.

    Blessings abound!

Thank you, Robin! It took me a long time to break the habit of saying, “I’m tired” and “I’m really fed up with _____.” I still slip up, but I’ve learned to stop and correct myself immediately — even in front of people who don’t have a clue what I’m doing. I try to make it something simple, such as, “Oops. Correction. I mean, I feel tired at the moment.” Usually, other people don’t seem to notice. If they do question me, that gives me the opportunity to share some of the Word with them.

The world is so full of people speaking negative things over themselves and everyone else that I really have to stay vigilant. And I count on my close friends (who understand this important truth) to correct me and stop me in my tracks when they hear me claim something I really don’t want to claim. “I AM” is a holy phrase, and the more we recognize its power, the more we can move into the authority that Jesus died to give us.

      Blessings to you!
